【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationestablishesrequirementsformaterial,performance,workmanshipandtestmethodsforthequalificationof2in.andsmallermechanicalcouplingsthatconnecttoDR15.5andlowerpolyethyleneconduit,ductandinnerductcoveredbySpecificationF2160.Throughoutthisstandard,x201C;conduitx201D;referstox201C;conduit,ductorinnerductx201D;manufacturedinaccordancewithSpecificationF2160.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thecouplingscoveredbythisspecificationaretypicallydesignedtojoinbetweenconduitends(in-linecoupling).Thesamecoupling-to-conduitjointdesignmaybeusedasapartofothercouplingjointdesignsthattelescope,orconnecttobulkheads,orotheradapterfittingdesigns.Therequirementsofthisstandardapplyonlytothecoupling-to-conduitjointdesign.Theperformancerequirementsofothercouplingjointdesignsarenotapartofthisstandard.1.4Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section9ofthisspecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
