【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationprovidesminimumdesignstandardsfortestingmachinesusedtomeasurethecompressivestrengthofconcretemasonryunits,relatedunits,andmasonryprismscoveredunderTestMethodsC140andC1314.1.2Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthisstandard.1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.4Thisspecificationshallbeusedtodeterminethemaximumallowablespecimensizeandthemaximumallowableloadlimitsonaspecificspecimenforanytestmachine.Theselimitsarebasedondeflectionofthebearingsurfacesandthemachineloadframe.Theselimitsmaynotreflecttheactualcapacityofthemachineanddonotsupersedethemachinemanufacturerx2019;srecommendedoperationallimits.Theusermustdetermineiftestingmachinecapacities,allowablespecimensizeandmaximumallowableloadareappropriateforthesampletobetested.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
