【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverssolid,dry-cast,concretebuildingbrickintendedforinteriorandexterioruseinconstructingstructuralmasonry,andaremadefromportlandcement,water,andsuitablemineralaggregateswithorwithouttheinclusionofothermaterials.Note18212;SpecificationC1634addressesconcretefacingbrickusedinfacingapplicationsandotherexposures(previouslyreferredtoinearliereditionsofthisstandardasGradeNforuseasarchitecturalveneerandfacingunitsinexteriorwallsandforusewherehigh-strengthandresistancetomoisturepenetrationandseverefrostactionaredesired).ThisspecificationdiffersfromC1634inthatitaddressespropertiesforconcretebuildingbrickusedinnon-facing,utilitarianapplications(previouslyreferredtoinearliereditionsofthisspecificationasGradeSforgeneralusewheremoderatestrengthandresistancetofrostactionandmoisturepenetrationarerequired).1.2Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Note28212;Concretebuildingbrickcoveredbythisspecificationaremadefromlightweightornormalweightaggregates,orboth.Note38212;Whenparticularfeaturesaredesired,suchasdensityclassification,highcompressivestrength,surfacetexturesforappearanceorbond,finish,color,fireresistance,insulation,acousticalproperties,orotherspecialfeatures,suchpropertiesshouldbespecifiedseparatelybythepurchaser.Suppliersshouldbeconsultedastotheavailabilityofconcretebuildingbrickhavingthedesiredfeatures.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.
